Cal Poly Surfrider Club and the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will be hosting a Save The Waves film festival event as part of Cal Poly's Earth Week 2018 celebrations. Join us for an evening of films, food, and fun! A series of films related to surfing, connecting with the ocean, and protecting the ocean environment will be featured.
Films will include shorts by Tay Steele, Morgan Maassen, Treehouse Visuals, and more. The feature film will be Fish People, a documentary presented by Patagonia and directed by Keith Malloy, which documents the stories of people who have dedicated their lives to the sea and have been transformed and found deeper meaning in life because of it.
You won't want to miss out on this event! All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the local Surfrider chapter to support their efforts in protecting San Luis Obispo's local beaches and waters. Surfers and non-surfers alike, all are welcome and all will enjoy these incredible films.
Wednesday, April 18 - 7-9:30 p.m.
