Executive Committee Meetings
The business of Surfrider SLO is conducted by the Executive Committee (EC), which consists of chapter officers, program and campaign chairpersons, and a variable number of at-large members. The EC normally meets in the evening once a month in San Luis Obispo or a neighboring town to discuss chapter business.
If you are interested in joining the EC and/or taking on responsibility for one of our programs or campaigns, please contact the EC chairperson here: chair@slo.surfrider.org.
To qualify for the EC, a candidate must be in good standing and have attended at least three meetings in the past twelve months. For purposes of serving on the EC, “good standing” is defined as:
- Being a current dues-paying member of the Surfrider Foundation
- Being a full-time resident of the SLO Chapter’s territory
- Being eighteen years of age or older
- Having completed the Executive Committee Onboarding Process
