Long course, 5-6 miles around Bird Rock: 8:30 a.m (registration starts at 7 am)
Short course, around Avila Pier: 11 a.m. (registration starts at 10 am)
Events finished before noon
Where: Register and launch at Olde Port Beach, Avila (aka Dog Beach)

Ken Harmount was a Morro Bay lifeguard until a snowboarding accident changed his life. His friends arranged a paddling benefit to raise money to help Ken pay for his hospital bills. Ken generously donated the money to help start the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, which has made the paddle an annual event.
