Hold On To Your Butt Awareness Day – June 17
Our beaches and streets are not ashtrays! But cigarette butts are the #1 type of trash we find during beach cleanups. Last year on Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers in SLO County picked up 17 thousand butts!

Join us as we raise public awareness of the harmful environmental effects of butt litter by handing out free pocket ashtrays and providing information.

We’ll meet at the Surfrider SLO table near Avila Pier at 11 a.m.

If you like to dress up, come as a cigarette girl or wear a smoking jacket to help us get noticed.
