Ken Harmount was a Morro Bay lifeguard until a snowboarding accident changed his life. His friends arranged a paddling benefit to raise money to help Ken pay for his hospital bills. Ken generously donated the money to help start the San Luis Obispo Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, which has made the Paddle for Clean Water an annual event.

Sponsored by the SLO Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation. All proceeds go to the SLO County Junior Lifeguard Program.
